Moscow. After the Soviet Union was dissolved in December 1991, and prices on food were freed in 1992, the people were now free--but the food had to be locked in cages. If you had money, of course, everything was readily available. Traders wheeled locked carts into the streets to put their goods on display. This cart also contains a bag of frozen chicken legs, which were a very common part of the food aid sent from America. Since then-President Bush orchestrated the humanitarian aid, they were nicknamed "Bush Legs."
